We want a city that empowers renters, builds more homes, makes our streets safer for pedestrians and bikes, advances reparations, acts on climate, and stands with immigrants.
But too often, local politics are shaped by the loudest voices in the room. A small but vocal group of those most resistant to change discourages the positive majority from wanting to participate.
Many people who share our values are busy, disconnected, or unsure how to get involved.
Together we can unite a positive, fun, and effective community of people who want Evanston to move forward.
By connecting with one another and organizing together, we can support and promote local groups doing vital work, help more neighbors participate, develop and elect leaders in all wards who share our values, and advocate for policies that make daily life better for everyone, including those who want to live here but can’t afford it.
